Restored and Ready to Install

The cast iron Tiled Fireplace as pictured has been professionally restored.

Sandblasted, primed and coated with Thermolac, a specialist heat proof paint. 

A coat of traditional wax based graphite polish has then been applied to help seal and further protect the cast iron. 

The polish provides a silver black finish, it also emphasises and highlight the detailing in the casting.

Firebrick Back (Quarry) 

The Fireplace will be supplied with a new tapered Firebrick Back.

A Firebrick Back is a great option for increasing the efficiency of your fire, it helps to reflect the heat back out into the room.   

Our Firebrick Backs are available in Fondu and Fire Clay in a range of sizes to suit and fit your chosen Fireplace.

We supply the Firebrick Back in its raw state to ensure mortar will adhere when installing.

Decorative Purpose

Once you have completed the installation of your Fireplace you might like to spray the Firebrick with the 'Black Thermolac Spray' to colour match everything together.

A link to purchase the Spray will be supplied on request.

Solid Fuel Fire

If you are intending to use the Fireplace as a Solid Fuel Fire the Firebrick will naturally go black once used.

Additional Extras

Solid Fuel Grate

Freestanding Solid Fuel Stool Grate.

Fabricated in Steel to fit perfectly.  The Grate is scribed to the contours of the Fire Bars and finished at the correct height suitable for the intended use.

Opening Closure Unit (Damper)

Once installed, the Fireplace and Firebrick Back combined leaves you with an open Flue.

*Tiled Combination Fireplaces prove to be more desirable as they have a built in Closure Plate (Damper) to close off the Flue when not in use.  You often find that Combination Fireplaces have a small restrictive Grate area, which limit your heat output and choice of Solid Fuels (Logs and large pieces of Wood).

Having an open Flue is not always ideal, especially in property's with significantly large Chimneys which can create cold down drafts.  To overcome this problem we designed a unit based on the same principles as the Combination Fireplace.

The bespoke unit which is fabricated in Steel follows the back contours of the Fireplace and is fully aligned with the top of the Firebrick Back to create a box.  The unit has a hinged Plate.  The Plate can also be completely removed to allow adequate access into the Flue.

*The Closure Unit is not suitable for use with a Gas Burner.

Current regulations stipulate that Fireplaces intended for use with Gas must have the Closure Plates removed or permanently fixed in the upright position, so not to interfere with flue extraction.     

Ash Pan

Ash Pans are perfect for the containment and easy disposal of the fire ashes. Fabricated in Steel to suit the intended opening beneath the Fire Grate, ensuring that your ash is contained effectively to then dispose of cleanly and safely. 

Gas Burner

CE Approved made to measure Gas Burner suitable for Natural Gas and LPG.

Collection is preferred due to the weight.  Alternatively delivery can be arranged at an additional cost (please provide your full postcode for a quote) or you are welcome to arrange your own courier.  Please contact me within 48 hours of purchase to arrange.
