'Viktoria,' Goddess of Victory, is hoisted to her pedestal atop Brandenburg Gate in east Berlin, returning to vantage point she had dad for a century and a half until statue was destroyed by Soviet artillery at end of World War II. In original statue, Goddess of Victory was riding a chariot drawn by four horses.
The Quadriga has been reconstructed and is expected to replace red flag streaming from the Berlin landmark. Berliners from east and west sectors of the city watch the installation.
