Vintage Satchel Basket Boho Storage.

This historical basket comes with braided straps and a lid and was probably used as a satchel or purse to carry food or goods. Made of natural woven grass, it is intricately woven into a simple but sturdy weave. Three diamonds are woven onto the front and back, and one on each side. The latch to secure the lid is missing, but one could easily add a ribbon or natural string if desired. The lid does fit snug, and is easy to remove and place. Great as a boho purse accessory, for functional decor, or for apothecary storage of teas and herbs.

In great vintage condition, there is some loose and cracking weaves on the one strap, and on the very bottom (see close up pictures). The grass has some aged discoloration, but the only dark stain visible is in the inside bottom of the bag. No funky smells, and is otherwise very clean. In great condition for its age, and still functional for use.

The outer bag measures 7” long x 4” wide x 6” high to top of bag with lid. Each strap is 8” long.
