Unusual shape spun brass cooking bowl the one piece spun to straight sided bowl (slight taper towards bottom). Shallow curve to bottom.  Rolled over flat rim. This might have dropped into a wrought iron ring stand for hearth cooking. 

Old and worn tinned surface inside. Plenty of scratches and signs of old accretions in the base at edges. 

A lovely old  piece of cookware history. 

No holes or repairs. Wear is all age related. Will improve with careful cleaning.
