Description 1934 Customs And Traditions Of Israel. This is a 71 page Jewish American collectible pamphlet published by The General Foods Corporation, makers of Postum Coffee and Baker's Cocoa. (Both advertised inside this pamphlet), as well as many other products. General Foods Corporation was a company whose direct predecessor was established in the United States by Charles William Post as the Postum Cereal Company in 1895. The name "General Foods" was adopted in 1929, after several corporate acquisitions, by Marjorie Post after she inherited the established cereal business from her father C. W. Post. This booklet is the third edition as stated in the introduction. So the idea of advertising through a Jewish instructional manual was an early one for this new company. The company thanks the then pretty recent Jewish Encyclopedia for using several illustrations found in their books. American Judaica, printed in the U.S.A.
