Although choppers originated in the USA, the Europeans have put their own footprint on the art of customizing motorcycles. This amazing book, published in The Netherlands in 1993, is practically impossible to find anywhere today! Mainly a photo book, it chronicles 27 home built European choppers, with exquisite photographs by G. “Stud” Wester, and commentary by T. “Grizzly” Beerespoot.

The bikes depicted are all stunning! The pics make you wanna just climb on and ride! They invite you in like a beautiful woman who you just want, so bad, and you know the ride’s gonna be sweet when you climb into the saddle! It’s truly a one of a kind book. These aren’t flash customs by professional builders, either. These machines were built by the guys who are riding them. They ain’t glitzy and glammy, but they sure are HOT! Like a woman who ain’t exactly a super-model, but you know is gonna be great in bed, they radiate and ooze sexiness!

This English language version is not even supposed to exist (see Amazon review below), and I couldn’t find another copy anywhere on the internet. Here’s a review from Amazon, where the book is unavailable with no idea when, or if, it will ever be available again. It’ll give you an idea of what’s between the covers.

This Dutch published, Dutch language (although I think there were limited copies of an English language version published too) book was a classic for its time for chopper related stuff and you were VERY lucky to get your hands on a copy if you were in the states. For its time it was a classic because you rarely got a look at the bikes being built in Europe during this pre-internet time period and only had Iron Horse to look at for decent quality home built motorcycles.

This review is for the more common Dutch language version. As you can see, he refers to this version, the English language version, as a possible limited edition publication, although he’s not sure about that. I can assure you, it does exist! BTW, I used to love Iron Horse, too!

The book measures 10 5/8 inches x 9 1/8 inches, and it’s in pristine condition. The pages aren’t numbered, but it appears to be around 90 pages, give or take a few. I could look through this book and covet these bikes, endlessly, and never get tired of it, and you will too!
