Subject of this offer is repair / renovation service for your Pioneer EA-10 tonearm for Pioneer Exclusive P-10 turntable . It was produced in early 80’s and there was technology used from top tier Pioneer turntables series – Exclusive P-10, P-3, P-3a. The similarities in these models are mostly in the tonearm.

I service tonearm in this turntable.  I’ve repaired lots of Pioneer PL-30/50/70LII and Pioneer Exclusive turntables. Its tonearm has oil anti-resonance system called „Q-damping”, which part is oil reservoir. I’m sure these turntables were transported many times during these several decades. During transport, the oil from the reservoir spills out and enters all corners of the tonearm, and during those 30-40 years no one was empty the reservoir before transport. I owned many turntables throughout the series. I’ve also serviced some of them for my clients, that were supposed to be bought in perfect condition. The most common case was quite a bit of oil residue even though the tonearm was clean at the outside. Oil sticks to a gentle anti-skating mechanism, whether it engages the bearings, slowing them down and causing a malfunction. Turntable is still working, but not how it’s supposed to.

All the things I usually do when servicing tonearm:

- tonearm diagnostics for dirt, aesthetics, corrosion, etc.
- tonearm disassembly into parts,
- tonearm cleaning service from any oil residue,
- tonearm bearings of the vertical movement condition check,
- tonearm bearings of the horizontal movement condition check,
- anti-skating system check, clean if necessary
- Hall sensor and the magnet check, which are the elements of the hitchhiking system,
- VTA adjustment mechanism check, remove old graphite grease, re-lubricate, final check
- tonearm wiring condition check,
- reassembly of all mechanisms,
- several hours tonearm test on my own turntable.

For an extra charge I can also replace tonearm wiring and replace damaged elements. If any of the key elements is damaged in the tonearm I can also replace it for an additional fee, because I have to use the original parts. I have the tonearms for this gramophone intended for parts, so I have a full base of the necessary components.
