Available is a brand new original Yamaha RAV572 remote control, which is standard issue with the high end of range RX-A1080 & RX-V1085  models, featuring:

·        Eight Scene buttons on remote

·        Intelligent Backlighting

·        Soft Touch Controls

·        Textured Back

Yamaha designed this new remote control for these models and it has a totally different feel to any of the other remote controls preceding it, and could be best described as “Slim, Substantial, Classy”. The all black remote control features soft-touch controls, intelligent backlighting and a textured back.

This remote control can serve as a replacement for the standard remote controls for the following Yamaha AV-receiver models:

RX-V1077        RX-V1079        RX-V1081        RX-V1083

RX-A1040        RX-A1050        RX-A1060        RX-A1070       

The original remote controls for these AV receivers are still available new, but the RAV572 will serve as a good change / upgrade if you wanted to stay with using a Yamaha remote control as opposed to a universal remote control in that dark theatre room.

The original remote controls for these compatible models all feature a number of buttons for controlling other devices which have to be programmed into the remote.  This functionality is not available on the RAV572, as it has been designed to control the AV receiver only and allow some control of devices that are connected to the unit via HDMI.

In terms of other functionality, the RAV572 has been extensively tested on some of the compatible models listed above, and apart from some buttons on the RAV572 that are not required for these other compatible models and the possibility of controlling some functions slightly differently, the RAV572 can control the compatible models as well as the original remote control for that model.

The eight Scene buttons is a very useful feature where up to eight preset source / sound program combinations can be stored and accessed directly from the remote control.

Each remote control will be supplied with a document detailing the difference between the RAV572 and the original remote control for that model, and detail on how some functions are to be controlled if not obvious, so please provide detail on AV receiver model upon purchase.
