SHELL FUEL STATIONS OF 93 V-POWER IS A GOOD PLACE TO START.
THERE ARE OTHERS OUT THERE LIKE STANDARD OIL, AMMACO AND CHEVRON FUEL STATIONS TO 
NAME A FEW, AS WELL AS MANY OTHERS. LOOK AT THE PUMP HANDEL! IT SHOWS RIGHT ON IT! 
IT WILL TELL YOU IF IT IS E-10, E-15, E-30 OR E-85. 
E-85 IS JUST WHAT IT MEANS! 85% ETHANOL!!!!

YOUR FUEL PUMP WONT LAST BUT A MONTH AT MOST IF YOU RUN THAT E-85 THRU IT. 

YOU MAY THINK THAT YOU HAVE NOT BEEN GETTING/BUYING FUEL WITH ETHANOL IN IT BUT 
YOU MOST LIKELY WOULD BE MISTAKEN! ALL BECAUSE YOU DID NOT KNOW! 
WELL THAT ALL DEPENDS ON THE FUEL STATION,  
IF THE STATION DOES NOT HAVE SEPARATE HOSES FOR EACH DIFFERENT FUEL, THEN 
YOU DO NOT KNOW WHAT YOU ARE REALLY GETTING FOR THE FIRST 3/4 OF A GALLON!!!

THAT PERSON THAT WAS JUST PAYING FOR FUEL BEFORE YOU,  THAY MAY HAVE JUST PUT 
THAT E-85 IN THEIR TRUCK, IN WHICH THERE IS NOW 3/4 OF A 
GALLON OF THAT, STILL LEFT IN THE HOSE THAT YOU ARE ABOUT TO PUT INTO YOUR 2 GALLON GAS CAN!
NOW WHAT RATIO DO YOU HAVE OF  ETHANOL  AND  NON-ETHANOL? YEA!!!
THERE ARE LAWSUITS HAPPENING OUT IN CALIFORNIA AS WE TELL YOU THIS BECAUSE OF PEOPLE 
PAYING FOR PREMIUM FUEL AND THEN RELIEZE THAT THEY WERE STILL GETTING ALMOST A 
GALLON OF CHEAPER (2 DOLLAR) E-85  FUEL!

 A REAL COSTLY MISTAKE!!!!!!

THERE ARE FUEL PUMPS OUT THERE THAT LOOK ALMOST IDENTICAL TO THE 
OE ONE YOU SEE HERE FOR YOUR ENGINE.
MOST OF THEM DEFECTIVE FAKES WILL NOT EVEN MAKE IT BUT MAYBE 60 DAYS.
WE SERIOUSLY MEAN THAT! WE HAVE INSPECTED THEM!!

THEIR DIAPHRAGM IS MADE OF SOME
WEIRD THIN RUBBER THAT WAS EITHER SPRAYED ON OR ROLLED OUT OVER 
TOP OF("WHAT WE BELIEVE")IS LIKE A NYLON MESH SCREEN, WITH
 VALVES MADE OF PLASTIC THAT IS TRYING TO SEAL TO PLASTIC, 
A BRASS WEEP THAT LOOKS MORE LIKE A GLOB OF CLOSED CELL BRASS AND A
SPRING THAT HAS A THICKER DIAMETER OF WIRE WHICH MAKES IT TOO STIFF TO ALLOW THE 
DIAPHRAGM TO PUMP THE FUEL!!!

MOST DO NOT EVEN WORK AT ALL STRAIGHT OUT OF THE PACKAGE!!! 
LOOK AT OUR PHOTOS TO SEE WHAT WE ARE TALKING ABOUT AND THEN SEE THE 
FEEDBACK BELOW TO READ WHAT OTHERS HAD TO SAY ABOUT THEM AND THE REAL OE ONE!


AT FIRST WE LAUGHED AND THEN WE CAME TO WHAT WE NOW BELIEVE IS THAT THEIR
PUMPS WERE BEING MADE THAT WAY ON PURPOSE!!!


 HERE IS WHERE YOU REALLY START SAVING  MONEY IN FUTURE COST!!!

1. WITH THEIR DIAPRAGM HAVING THAT LAYER OF 
SOME KIND OF THIN RUBBER SPRAYED ON OR ROLLED OUT OVER TOP OF THAT
NON-STRETCHABLE NYLON MESH SCREEN, THEN HOW IS 
IT (THE DIAPHRAGM) SUPOSSED TO
FLUCTUATE BACK AND FORTH TO PUMP THE FUEL! WE CANNOT SEE WHERE IT POSSIBLY CAN!
MAYBE AN 1/8" AT MOST OF MOVEMENT BUT NOW
THAT ALONE WILL PUT A LOT OF WEAR AND TEAR ON THE
 STARTER MOTOR WITH ALL THAT UNESSASARY CRANKING OF THE
ENGINE TO GET IT TO PRIME THE CARBURETOR! 
THIS WILL ALSO PUT A LOT OF DRAWL ON THE BATTERY WHICH WILL
SHORTEN ITS LIFE SPAN AS WELL!

2. EVEN IF THEY USED A REAL CUPPED PIT LINER RUBBER DIAPHRAGM, THEIR 
BRASS BREATHER VENT WOULD NOT ALLOW THE ACTUAL 
AIR NEEDED TO PASS BACK AND FORTH THRU IT TO PULL THAT FUEL FASTER.
 THAT ALONE IS WHAT ALLOWS THE DIAPHRAM TO MAKE THE MOVEMENT IT 
NEEDS IN ORDER TO FEED THE CARBURETOR!!

3. THEIR VALVES IN THEIR PUMP ARE ALSO MADE OF PLASTIC INSTEAD OF RUBBER! 
HOW IS THIN PLASTIC SUPOSSED TO REALLY SEAL UP AGAINST PLASTIC? IT WONT! 
THIS WILL CAUSE THE FUEL TO RECEED BACK TO THE FUEL TANK WHEN
THE ENGINE IS SHUT DOWN!
SPECIALLY IF THE FUEL TANK IS LOCATED AT A LOWER LEVEL UNDER THAT OF 
THE ENGINE, LIKE UNDER THE SEAT OF A TRACTOR WHICH IS ALSO A GREAT 
DISTANCE AWAY FROM THE ENGINE!!
AGAIN, EVERY TIME YOU SHUT YOUR ENGINE DOWN, YOU WILL HAVE TO 
ALMOST CHOKE THE HECK OUT OF THE CARBURETOR TO HELP THE 
STARTER MOTOR TO PULL THAT FUEL TO PRIME THE ENGINE!

THEY HAVE TO BE MADE THIS WAY ON PURPOSE TO MAKE OTHER 
COMPONETS/PARTS TO FAIL MORE QUICKLY!
LIKELY SO THAT YOU WILL GO AND BUY THEIR CHEAP MADE STARTER MOTORS FROM THEM!
WAIT TILL YOU HEAR ABOUT THEIR CHEAP STARTER MOTORS!!!!!

PRETTY SMART ON THEIR PART IF YOU THINK ABOUT IT! 

WE ARE A SMALL ENGINE SALVAGE AN BUSINESS PARTS PLACE.
AS A SALVAGE, WE SEE THESE ENGINES/EQUIPTMENT COME IN HERE WITH THESE 
CHEAP CHINA KNOCK OFF PARTS ON THEM.
WE FOUND THAT THEIR STARTER MOTORS WERE BEING MADE WITH 
SHALLOW BRUSHES IN THEM WITH WEAK SPRINGS!
WHY WOULD THEY EVEN DO THAT!

FROM THEM A SHORT TIME LATER AFTER THEIR WARRENTY HAS ALREADY RAN OUT!!!
WE HAVE FOUND SO MANY OF THEIR CHEAP STARTERS THAT DO 
NOT EVEN ALIGH CORRECTLY TO THE ENGINE BLOCKS! 
MAINLY ON JUST ABOUT ALL OF THE TECUMSEH, KOHLER, KAWASAKI AND BRIGGS MODEL ENGINES!
THEM ALONE HAD SHOWN US MANY 
RUINED FLYWEELS RING GEAR TEETH THAT WERE NOLONGER REPAIRABLE!
THIS IS NOT A JOKE PEOPLE! 
USED FLYWHEELS ARE STARTING TO BECOME SCARCE AND THE COST ON THEM ARE HIGH!!
PRETTY SOON (IF NOT ALREADY) CHINA WILL BE MAKING THEM FLYWHEELS AS WELL!
THEY ARE CROOKS OVER THERE!!!!
ALWAYS THINKING OF A WAY TO SCREW THE HECK OUT OF US OVER HERE! THE WORSE IS,

IT IS MADE OF A POLY FIBER (NOT CHEAP PLASTIC) RESIN WITH 
THICK CUPPED (NOT THIN SPRAYED ON) PIT LINER RUBBER DIAPHRAGM. 
THE VALVES IN THIS GF30 VACUUM PUMP ARE ALSO
MADE OF A THICK (NOT PLASTIC!)UMBRELLA RUBBER.

FUEL PUMP AND PUT IT INTO A CLEAR QUART JAR AND LOWER IT TO THE GROUND. 
NOW TURN ON YOUR SHUT OFF VALVE, IF YOU HAVE NO FREE-FLOW OF FUEL THEN IT IS 
SAFE TO SAY THAT THERE IS 
SOMETHING IN THE GAS TANK LIKE GRASS, LEAVES OR DEBRIS STOPING THE FUEL FLO. 
THIS SHOULD GIVE YOU AN INDICATION THAT YOU MAY NOT NEED A FUEL PUMP. 
NOW IF YOU LOOSEN YOUR GAS TANKS FUEL CAP JUST A LITTLE AND 
BLOW SOME AIR INTO THE FUEL LINE THAT GOES BACK TO THE FUEL TANK AND 
THEN QUICKLY PUT THE HOSE BACK INTO THE 
QUART JAR AND LOWER IT TO THE GROUND AGAIN, YOU SHOULD NOW HAVE 
FUEL FLOW. YOU THEN KNOW THAT YOU 
NEED TO REMOVE THE FUEL TANK TO CLEAN IT OUT. WHY? BECAUSE 
WHATEVER IT WAS IS GOING TO FLOAT BACK INTO 
THE WAY AGAIN AND RESTRICT THE FUEL FLOW AGAIN IF YOU DONT CLEAN IT OUT. 
LET'S SAY YOU HAD FUEL FLOW AFTER LOWERING THE GASLINE TO THE GROUND IN THE FIRST PLACE.

SHUT YOUR FUEL SHUT OFF VALVE BACK OFF.
LEAVE THE GAS LINE COMING FROM THE FUEL TANK OFF FROM THE FUEL PUMP.
NOW JUST PULL THE FUEL LINE OFF FROM THE FUEL PUMP THAT RUNS TO THE CARBURETOR.
NOW ATTACH A NEW SHORT PIECE OF FUEL LINE TO THE FUEL INLET PORT OF THE FUEL PUMP, 
NOW IF YOU CAN BLOW ( BY MOUTH ONLY ) INTO THE FUEL INLET OF THE FUEL PUMP AND FEEL
AIR COMING OUT OF THE FUEL OUTLET OF THE FUEL PUMP BUT THEN 
TRY TO SUCK BACK THRU THAT VERY SAME FUEL INLET BUT 
NOTICE THAT YOU CANNOT, THEN THAT MEANS THAT THE TWO VALVES ON THE 
INSIDE OF THE FUEL PUMP ARE WORKING CORRECTLY.

THE FUEL PUMP SHOULD ONLY ALLOW ONE WAY AIR/FUEL FLOW.

IF YOU ALSO DO NOT SEE ANY FUEL COMING OUT OF THE BRASS BREATHER VENT ON THE 
FUEL PUMP, THEN THAT MEANS THAT THERE IS NO HOLE IN THE DIAPHRAGM.
IF YOU DO SEE FUEL COMING OUT OF THE BRASS/GOLD COLORED VENT ON THE FUEL PUMP, 
THEN MAKE SURE YOU DO NOT HAVE YOUR GAS TANK FUEL LINE HOOKED UP TO THE 
VACUUM PORT OF THE FUEL PUMP.
THAT MEANS YOUR FUEL PUMP IS ALL GOOD TO GO!

YOUR PROBLEM IS ELSEWHERE!

WHAT YOU NEED TO DO NOW IS, GRAB THAT NEW PIECE OF FUEL LINE HOSE THAT YOU 
JUST USED ON THE FUEL INLET PORT OF THE FUEL PUMP AND ATTACH IT TO THE 
FUEL INLET PORT ON THE CARBURETOR.
IF YOU CAN'T BLOW ( BY MOUTH ONLY ) THROUGH THAT HOSE GOING TO THE CARBURETOR, THEN
YOU NOW KNOW THAT THERE IS SOMETHING THAT IS MOST LIKELY PLUGGED IN THE 
NEEDLE SEAT AREA INSIDE OF THE CARBURETOR. 
SOMETHING IN THERE IS STOPPING YOUR FUEL FLOW. 

IF YOU ARE NOT A CERTIFIED MECHANIC THEN TAKE YOUR CARBURETOR TO ONE THAT IS. 
IF YOU ARE A CERTIFIED MECHANIC THEN REMOVE THE CARBURETOR FROM THE ENGINE. 
REMOVE THE FLOAT BOWL, THEN REMOVE THE FLOAT PIN THAT HOLDS THE 
FLOAT IN. BECAREFUL BECAUSE MOST 
NEEDLES ARE DIRECTLY ATACHED TO THE FLOAT. NOW GET SOME COMPRESSED AIR AND BLOW AIR
BACK THRU THAT NEEDLE SEAT THAT YOU PULLED THE FLOAT NEEDLE FROM.
IT SHOULD HAVE NOW BLOWN OUT WHATEVER IT WAS THAT PLUGGED IT UP. 
DO NOT STICK ANYTHING LIKE A SCREWDRIVER OR ANYTHING DOWN INTO THE 
NEEDLE SEAT AREA WHERE THE NEEDLE GOES. AIR ONLY!!!
NOW ATTACH THE PIECE OF HOSE BACK UP TO THE PORT ON THE CARBURETOR AND 
BLOW LOW MOUTH AIR PRESURE IN IT TO MAKE SURE THAT YOU DID GET 
WHATEVER IT WAS OUT OF THE NEEDLE SEAT.
REPEAT AS ABOVE IF NESSASARY. IF YOU BELIEVE YOU ARE GOOD TO GO THEN 
PUT THE NEEDLE AND FLOAT BACK INTO THE CARB. AND 
REASSEMBLE THE CARBURETOR IN THE SAME MANNER IT WAS TAKEN APART. THEN TRY TO 
BLOW LOW PREASURE AGAIN BY MOUTH INTO THE INLET OF THE CARB. 
YOUR PROBLEM SHOULD NOW BE SOLVED. 
MOUNT THE CARB. BACK TO THE ENGINE AND NOW DO THIS...

WHAT YOU NEED TO DO FROM YOUR FUEL TANK TO YOUR ENGINES CARBURETOR IS 
MAKE SURE EVERYTHING IS ASSEMBELED IN THIS ORDER...
WE DO NOT CARE HOW IT WAS DONE BY THE MANUFACTURER! 

A BETTER WAY IS TO DO THIS!!!
USE ALL NEW CLEAR PVC FUEL LINE FROM GAS TANK PORT-to-FUEL SHUT OFF VALVE-to-
NEW CLEAR FUEL LINE to-FUEL FILTER-to-CLEAR FUEL LINE-to-FUEL PUMP-to-
CLEAR FUEL LINE-to-CARBURETOR. 

THE BEST WAY IS TO DO IT LIKE THIS...
EVEN IF YOUR TRACTOR, GENERATOR, WELDER OR WHATEVER YOUR 
ENGINE IS ON DID NOT COME WITH A SEDIMENT BOWL ON IT THEN 
LISTEN CLOSELY TO A PROFESSIONAL THAT IS HERE TO SAVE YOU 
LOTS OF MONEY/TIME, LABOR AND A LATER HEADAKE.... DO THIS.....
FUEL TANK-to-NEW CLEAR FUEL LINE-to-SEDIMENT BOWL-to-CLEAR FUEL LINE-to-
FUEL FILTER-to-CLEAR FUEL LINE-to-FUEL PUMP-to-CLEAR FUEL LINE-to-CARB.!!!! 

QUESTION:
WHY DO WE SAY A SEDIMENT BOWL THAT WAS NEVER ON YOUR EQUIPTMENT THAT 
YOUR ENGINE IS ON? 

ANSWER:
THE FIRST ANSWER IS... THEY WANT YOU TO KEEP BUYING PARTS! 
EVERYTHING IN THIS WORLD THAT HAS A FUEL TANK ON IT, SHOULD HAVE A 
SEDIMENT BOWL THAT IS PUT ON YOUR EQUIPTMENT IN A VISUAL 
PLACE WHERE YOU CAN CONSTANTLY INSPECT IT. IT SHOULD ALSO BE 
SITTING AT THE LOWEST LEVEL THAN THAT OF THE 
FUEL PUMP, FUEL FILTER, CARBURETOR. THAT SEDIMENT BOWL 
WILL CATCH THAT LITTLE AMOUNT OF WATER/CONDINSATION THAT 
SOMEHOW ALWAYS SEEMS TO MAKE ITS WAY INTO YOUR FUEL FROM THE GAS STATION! 
THIS IS BECAUSE WATER IS HEAVIER THAN GASOLINE. 

YOU WANT THAT GLASS SEDIMENT BOWL TO CATCH THAT WATER TO KEEP IT FROM GETTING INTO 
THE OTHER PARTS OF YOUR ENGINE.
ONCE THE WATER STARTS GETTING INTO YOUR CARBURETOR, YOU WILL START HAVING BIG PROBLEMS. 

THAT IN ITSELF IS BAD FOR EVERYTHING WHEN THAT ACCURES BUT NOW IMAGINE IF YOU ARE A 
PERSON THAT LIVES IN THE NORTHERN PART OF THE COUNTRY AND DEAL WITH FRIDGID COLD WINTERS,
NOW YOU HAVE WATER FROZE UP IN YOUR CARBURETOR, FUEL PUMP, FUEL FILTER AND 
GAS TANK!!!!

NOTHING WILL STOP FROZEN WATER FROM BUSTING YOUR 
COMPONETS IN ANYTHING ONCE IT FREEZES UP!!!!!!!
