This is a vintage pressed glass small compote.  It is clear glass.  It is 4 3/4 inches wide at the widest part of the dish and stands about 4 3/8 inches high.  The base is circular with a pedestal of 8 sides.  The compote has 8 points each having a small bump to each side of the point.  The upper edge is smooth and has a rolled effect.  Adorning the sides of the glass  are four panels between 2 sets of points made up of a diamond shape filled with a crosshatch design.  The panel is filled in with rows of geometric points outside of the diamond center design.  The dish is well proportioned and at the same time very stable so as not to tilt easily.  

This compote is very pretty and catches the light in an attractive manner.  It has been treated with care over the years and has no chips or damage.
