Vintage Antique 1940s Balboa Slim Enamel Advertising Motor Investment Co Dallas TX Lighter
In very good condition with no dents or loss of enamel, but does have scratches from normal use. It works as it should, but it does not spark as it does not have any fuel. It does have a wick. It has a logo of Motor Investment Company, Dallas & Fort Worth TX on both sides with what is a telephone number. Known as the 2L-5N, or “two letter and 5 number” system, phone numbers were assigned to residents based on location. The two letters signified the closest telephone exchange, and the five numbers were the assigned phone number. That telephone system was discontinued in the early 1950's!
The Motor Investment Co. is a corporation that first filed on September 18, 1928, but I do not know if they are still in business.
The lighter measures approx. 2 1/8" W x 1.75" H x 3/8" D.

- In the event of a damaged insured shipment please contact shipping carrier immediately. Buyer is responsible to file a claim with the carrier. Do not discard original packaging. Losing your original packaging will void your claim.
