Tang Dynasty Carved White Russet Jade Sanskrit Yamantaka Budidism Symbol Pendant.
Fabulous Tang Dynasty carved white russet jade of a Sanskrit (yamantaka) which originated in China as a Buddhism God—one of the 5 great Light Kings of Esoteric. Sanskrit means: “one who stops the power of the king of hell”. This pendant measures 2 1/4 by 1 1/4 inches adoring an approximately 16 inch sterling silver chain which I had professionally inserted. Acquired from an antique shop in Eureka Springs, Arkansas, this was quite a rare and wonderful find. Absolutely pristine condition.
