RARE vintage French Le Siege de Sierck 30 years war map circa 1643 reproduction copperplate engraving. I believe this is the Battle of Rocroi. Print is on Arches watermarked rag paper with embossed Musee de Louvre mark. Very nice impression in excellent condition and recently removed from the frame where it was well preserved under glass. The pictures show the print in the original matte which was in poor condition. I discarded it so that I can roll it up in a tube for shipping. The last picture shows the print without the matte, and as you can see the top edge is slightly cropped and there is glue and tape residue all of which would not be visible once re-matted and framed.
