This is a very beautifully substantial vintage ring where a huge amount of silver has been used, & NOT a modern reproduction pretending to be vintage, so often being sold as Vintage "style".
This ring is stunning, my photos do this no justice whatsoever, dated to 1933 yet with heavy near Victorian setting, the huge oval Quartz is at somewhere around 5-6 carats, held in place by 4 claws above a striking cut-out raised basket setting, with narrow elegant shoulders sweeping into the shank, & with a full set of British hallmarks to the inside.
The gorgeous glittering stone measures 1.8mm (.6") by 1.3mm (.4") & fills the entire depth of the setting. It
stands 6mm off the finger, measures 1.7mm (around .5") side to side
across the INSIDE of the shank, could be resized easily, & looks astonishing when worn.
This has never been altered or repaired, but it has been loved & there are a few marks to the claws, & I
very light wear to the underneath of the shank but there is so much
silver in this ring that a decent jeweler could easily sort this out ,
