SATO RACING Helmet Lock for 2017-20 Yamaha YZF-R6 (part# Y-R617HL) is a tough piston-type lock attached to a black-anodized billet aluminum base. It installs between the passenger peg bracket and the seat rail on the left side of your R6, giving you a secure way to stow your helmet when parked. A Helmet Lock is an easy way to make your superbike more practical for daily use, since you will no longer feel the need to carry your helmet around with you everywhere if you want to stop somewhere while out on a ride. Includes 2 keys.

NOTE: In some cases, the D-ring on the helmet's strap might be a tight reach to the lock clasp. There's an optional accessory we call a HELMET ANCHOR that is very useful in these situations. it is an anchor-shaped aluminum bracket with a hole on top. You slide it through the D-ring on the helmet and loop the hole part through the lock clasp. (The last photo above shows this Helmet Anchor).

Limited warranty covers cosmetic or functional defects that are apparent when the part is new, and does not cover issues such as normal wear and tear that may arise due to regular use.
NOTE: While SATO RACING designed and fabricates the aluminum parts for our Helmet Locks, the lock mechanism itself is from a 3rd party supplier, and while it works great, the black painted finish of the lock casing is of 'industrial' quality and may show some minor imperfections. This is normal and is not covered by the warranty.
