Discovery 2 Rear Shock Relocation Droppers



Ratel-X Industries® Disco 2 Rear Shock Relocation Droppers are precision engineered to relocate the lower mounting point of your rear shock absorbers. This will gain you 2 inches of downward flex on your rear axle.

Rear shock travel is lost when installing lift blocks on your vehicle, installing our shock droppers regains 2 inches of travel by raising the lower shock mount. Longer Bump stops may also be required to avoid the springs from being over-compressed or shockers from bottoming out.

Fitting is done in the following order, and note the brackets are handed so the plate side with 3 holes goes outside the original bracket on the side without a bend.

First remove the lower rear shock eye bolt, insert the bracket and loosely drop the M10x30 bolt through the slot at the bottom. Put the original shocker bolt through the bracket and back into the captive nut, once done the Bottom M10x30 bolt can be tightened.

Once both these bolts are tight you can drill the additional hole on the side of the bracket that has 3 holes. This will receive the second M10x30 bolt which can then also be tightened.

Now that your bracket is fitted you can attach the lower rear shock mounting to the new mounting holes which will be 50mm higher than the original position. New M12 Bolts and nuts are supplied with the kit for this stage.
