H1098DB Briggs & Stratton
OCTAGON KEY BLANK
Basco Groove #3, Part #52138
The condition of this particular UNCUT NOS key is excellent+. The nickel plating is still shiny. It is the main early Jeep and International Harvester key from 1947 through 1974. Even Chrysler, Dodge, Cadillac, and Buick used it in the 1920s and early 30's. The Basco Groove #3 works on Doors/Tires, some Lids of Ford Model A's from 1928 through mid-1930 (although I stock a roundhead version which is more appropriate). Keep in mind that the ignitions for Ford Model A's from 1928-1931 used BASCO groove #5 (key code series of A1301 through A1550).
This OCTAGON-head blank has the Post-WWII B&S logo on it. I also have some Pre-WWII ROUND-head Groove #3 blanks with the early "BASCO" diamond logo....see my ebay store! Check out Pic number 3 to see the differences in the various Briggs and Stratton grooves (disregard the key head style)

If you are unsure if this key will work for your vehicle, it is helpful to know the lock's key code. If you can get that, I can reference it for you to double-check. If you do decide to cut this key, slide it all the way into your lock FIRST to test its fit as locks get changed on these old cars over the years.
Please ask questions prior to bid as I want you to be happy with your purchase. If you are unsure, don't hesitate to send me pictures of your current working key. I will be glad to assist you in finding the correct blank.
Check my other auctions as I will be putting up lots more interesting old keys in the upcoming days! I am a collector who purchases large lots of vintage keys. If you have anything special available, I would love to hear from you.
Thanks for looking and HAPPY MOTORING!
