Seiko S-916 is a silicon greaser for gaskets which contains two pre-lubricated foam pads, one on top and one on bottom.  Every professional watchmaker has this type of greaser on the workbench.  Simply place the gasket between the foam pads, close the container, and turn the lid and base in opposite directions to fully coat the gasket.
