- Mechanical button that do not wear out like the original rubber ones
- Buttons now have a nice click when pressed
- Wattage of passive components were increased
- Buttons are user replaceable with a soldering iron
- If button go bad, the keypad will still work with the use of a paper clip, in emergency situations
