Suitable for dissolving in hot water or consuming via other oral means.

Description



Sakae Naa, also known as Combretum Quadrangulare is a tree growing up to 10 meters high native to south east Asia and is wide spread throughout these wetland regions.

 

The plant belongs to the Combretaceae family, amongst 600 other species.

 

The herb is known locally in Vietnam as “tram bau” and “sang kae” in Cambodia , where the leaves, seeds and bark have long been used in traditional medicine.

 


Mechanism of action

 


Over 100 alkaloids have been isolated and identified from the plant, responsible for its array of medicinal properties.

 

The pharmacology of these alkaloids is complex and bare a variety of beneficial affects.

 

Extracts have shown to induce bacterial cell death in vitro and reduce the expression of inflammatory inducing molecules in the liver.

 

The leaves are often chewed, brewed or used as an alternative an alternative to Kratom. tobacco or Cannabis.
