Opened but in excellent condition.  The only "problems" I noticed on the box were a couple of little white dings on the cover that you might can see if you zoom in, around the "T" and one in the trees on the right side.  And as far as the components, a couple of white trains had some yellowing which I've tried to capture in the picture.  All in all, the is in VERY good condition.
