Battery condition is extremely important. No stator or voltage regulator can work correctly with a bad or weak battery. Always fully charge your battery before performing any charging system tests or replacing parts. If there is any doubt, have the battery load tested or replaced.

The 2004-2009 Aprilia RSV and Tuono models are excellent motorcycles, but all suffered from a very unreliable charging system. The issue was an extremely strong magnetic flywheel that caused excess heat in the stator windings and common repeat failures. A replacement stator of the original design was simply not a reliable solution. The high output from the stator also caused regular voltage regulator failures, making for a very poor charging system.
To solve this problem, RMSTATOR has engineered a permanent solution kit to address all parts of the charging system. A thinner stator core is used that generates and retains less heat in use, and promotes cooling due to increased oil coverage from the extra space inside the flywheel. Paired with a CNC billet aluminum machined series type voltage regulator, the charging system is now bulletproof. For a complete and easy installation, we include shorter stator mounting bolts, a plug & play adapter harness for the new voltage regulator, and a stator cover gasket.
SERIES regulators run much cooler than the Shunt and MOSFET voltage regulator rectifier and way much cooler than OEM parts.

ABOUT THE SERIES VOLTAGE REGULATION TECHNOLOGY
RMSTATOR?s new SERIES voltage regulator brings better reliability and charging system performance. A SERIES regulator is a significant upgrade over typical shunt type voltage regulators.
A shunt regulator controls battery voltage by grounding the stator coils to dissipate current as heat, rather than sending it on to the battery. SERIES regulators control battery voltage by intermittently disconnecting stator coils from the regulator electronics, limiting current flow through the unit and on to the battery completely.
This results in lower regulator and stator temperatures, more accurate voltage regulation, and increased reliability of your charging system components.
INSTALL LIKE A PROWe include the opposite connector (main harness side) as we know these are often melted / corroded / defective. Defective connectors are a major cause for repetitive electrical issues.

Before installing your new Stator
Our stator might have a different wire color code than your original part.
All the wires are installed in the correct order; please do not change any of the wiring configurations.
This stator is designed as a direct plug-in replacement and should be used as such.
When bolting stator in, always use locking compound.
If our stator includes a pickup coil, always make sure the air gap is correct upon installation; we suggest as close as possible but no less than 0.010".
Before installing your new Voltage Regulator Rectifier:
Regulator installs in the OEM mounting location. It must be installed with connectors facing up. It is a tight fit, but will slid behind the radiator coolant tube and thermostat housing. This is the only way for the vehicle adapter harness to be installed correctly.
Warning:
Risk of electric shock. Disconnect the battery before servicing.
Ensure proper installation by a qualified technician to avoid malfunction.
