A middle Qing Chinese blue and white porcelain cover jar. Of globular form with band on the upper part and decorated with painted blue and white a figure riding on Kirin and other figures around, symbolic for the luck, prosperity and lots of descendants, a very popular motif in ancient Chinese culture. The jar measures 21 cm high and 20 cm in diameter. It is in very good vintage condition with only small chips on the opening, but can not be seen if it is covered.
