Offered for your consideration is a Heisey octagon serving dish. This is a sturdy, heavier than ususal item featuring a slightly raised upper lip with an etched and gilded basket weave pattern. The top measures 7 3/4" in diameter tapering to a 5" base. The center is classic Heisey floral motif marked with trademark diamond . There are two 2mm chips noted at the points of the upper gilded octagon (not shown) . Oddly, one of them is gilded; the other is a real defect. There are two tiny impact impressions on the edges of the octagon base. No glass is missing is missing from these areas. Beautiful addition to anyones Heisey collection. Have not seen another example of this piece for sale on EBay. This item has been in my Heisey collection for 27 years. Thank you.
