This is an American Bosch Governor Kit #40-2504052! Capable of fast system response over a broad range of temperature variations, American Bosch all-electric governor systems provide precise speed control of diesel, natural gas and gasoline engines. It can be used in governing modes as a speed droop system or an isochronous speed system. Speed can be varied over a 30 to 1 range; control at any set speed is isochronous within 1.4%. The standard governor system consists of a magnetic pickup, electronic control unit, a frequency trim potentiometer and an electromagnetic actuator. Only the actuator and the magnetic pickup are installed on an engine; the control unit and other accessories may be located near the engine or in remote positions. Power may be obtained from any available 12, 24, or 32V DC source.
Can be used for communication sites, computer centers and banks, mobile TV stations/field exploration vans, shipboard/hospital standby equipment, and total energy plants.
Includes:
- CU 673C-7 control unit (modular control unit with amphenol fitting and solid state electronic components and circuitry. Incorporates four electronic circuits that together control the current output to the throttle actuator. Has three integral adjustments for 1) stability control, 2) gain control of governor sensitivity, and 3) frequency adjustment. Utilizes a barrier strip for ease of wiring.
- AGB-130 D-1 actuator (nominal torque rating - 1lb ft [1.4 Newton Meters]; 12V or 24V or 32V). A proportional linear electromagnetic positioning unit which operates the engine throttle or diesel pump control rack according to the amount of current flowing from the control module to the actuator.
- United Technologies MP-675 magnetic pickup. It responds to the number of ring gear teeth passing its tip by inducing an electrical pulse within its coil.
- Potentiometer CU 6710A. Frequency trim potentiometer to make small changes in engine speed.
- Potentiometer CU 6711A. Droop potentiometer utilized to change the engine speed mode from isochronous to speed droop; may be used to obtain negative droop (increased engine speed with load increase).
- EC 1249-2 Connector
- 2 Bearing Rods BG 671
- Service manual
