Due to the weak UK Pound, rising costs and a doubling of the cost of shipping I regret that my selling price had to be adjusted accordingly.  BUT rest assured; the knowledge within is priceless!

About the book:

When someone looks out at the world and sees all manner of suffering and injustice, stretching back for thousands of years and continuing today, he invariably blames such problems on someone else's hatred, greed, or stupidity. Rarely will someone consider the possibility that his own belief system is the cause of the pain and suffering he sees around him.

But in most cases, it is.

The root cause of most of society's ills--the main source of man's inhumanity to man--is neither malice nor negligence, but a mere superstition--an unquestioned assumption which has been accepted on faith by nearly everyone, of all ages, races, religions, education and income levels. If people were to recognize that one belief for what it is--an utterly irrational, self-contradictory, and horribly destructive myth--most of the violence, oppression and injustice in the world would cease. But that will happen only when people dare to honestly and objectively re-examine their belief systems.

"The Most Dangerous Superstition" exposes the myth for what it is, showing how nearly everyone, as a result of one particular unquestioned assumption, is directly contributing to violence and oppression without even realizing it. If you imagine yourself to be a compassionate, peace-loving, civilized human being, you must read this book.

But don't buy the book on Amazon, even from my own listing.  It is better value here on eBay because eBay charge me less than Amazon and I pass the saving on the you the buyer.  So please support eBay in preference to Amazon and help build eBay as a book seller in competition with the monolithic Amazon!

These are the top rated reviews on Amazon com for the title.

Our cognitive dissonance regarding this subject is so ubiquitous that the irrefutable logic used to deprogam this mindset must slap us repeatedly until one awakens in an alternative universe where peace and prosperity seem possible. The book then ends and reality and depression resume. The repetitions are cleverly nuanced and effective. My sole criticism is Larken's failure to fully flesh out the nature of the political class. He treats their destructive attributes as self-evident and it should be, but for many this is not apparent. Within the general population psychopathy is present in about 1 percent. Within the political class it is the rule. Psychopaths are drawn to power and the easiest path to get there is via elections or government service. This book reveals the most important history lesson never taught in our schools as it explains and indicts the party responsible time and again for man's inhumanity to man. GOVERNMENT!

This is an Extremely Powerful Book. Plainly, there is no ritual one can perform that grants the performer your unalienable rights. Moreover, how did I surrender to the Government your rights? This Book then demonstrates how in the "free market" system without the boot of Government (or even despite Government interference) people are rewarded or punished pursuant to their works. Every Government is merely a paper, with no ability to take or give anything to anyone, and it is the paid actors who bring this illusion to appear real. Each horror advanced under the illusion of Government upon people, can only take place when its paid actors stop reasoning and start acting as if this illusion has granted them special authority that exceeds what they could properly do on their own accord (for example, nobody would believe on their own they could round up neighbors and gas them as in World War 2). I would encourage ever person to read this book, especially now when we are being forced to choose between the lesser of two evils. In essence, there would be no leader, ideology or premise that would be feared if it were not for the people who blindly follow these madmen.

This is one of the most important books I've ever read. What he writes about and explains very well are concepts I have basically gotten but have not fully understood. I needed this book to help me get it at a much deeper level. Humanity needs very much to really get this so we can make better choices and get the freedom we naturally would have without the trickery, the indoctrination of those who crazily want to rule others. I have a paper copy but bought this kindle version to make sure I always have it. I like to randomly read parts of it again. I want to get really clear on all of it so I can help others get these important concepts to promote true freedom.

If you have not read this book, you may technically not even be considered to be awake... you may actually be asleep.
This book lays how it is technically impossible for an individual or group of individuals that do not have certain "rights" themselves, to grant those "rights" to someone else. It also proposes actual working non-violent solutions to just about every major "problem" in the news today... the main solution being to stop believing in something that cannot possibly work.

The concept presented in this book will be difficult, if not impossible, for most people to get, I am guessing, as that is why we have the world we live in.

I used to not like the Matrix series of movies so much because I thought they were unreal... human beings being kept as slaves to generate energy... how ridiculous right? I'm going to re-watch all of the Matrix movies now, because it seems that we really all are living in a "Matrix" of sorts; very depressing and very scary, but also very uplifting to be able to see the curtain being pulled back on society, and see the wizard that pulls the controls... and that wizard is us.
