"At Sea", an original watercolor by USA artist June Lyman (1914-2010) painted on site and professionally matted, foam backed and professionally framed. Presented for sale by her daughter, Sarah Lyman Cook.

Born January 26,1914 in the suburban Chicago, she graduated from Smith College in Massachusetts as an art major. She continued her studies at the Art Institute of Chicago, the Memorial Art Gallery in Rochester, N.Y., the Evanston, (Illinois). Art Gallery and the Venice (Florida) Art League. She studied under Irving Shapiro, John Menihan, Maurice Potter and Alice Wright to name a few.

She exhibited in many areas and her work is in many collections in Florida, New England, and the Midwest. She earned many honors including a national blue ribbon in painting at the National Pen Women show in Nashville, Tenn. One of her paintings was chosen to be given to the prime minister of Trinidad as a gift from the city of Sarasota, Florida.
