As you know when running a dropped axle on your Ford truck, the tie rod sleeve can hit the springs. The 1-1/2" drop moves the tie rod out of the way far enough to clear the springs.

Summary: These are needed when using a dropped axle. This is a replacement for another set of the dropped tie rod ends that bent in the threads. This time I made sure the tie rod itself was long enough that only a few threads were showing. Hopefully this time nothing bends.
