The original on eBay and still the best! This is a set of connector housings, seals, and crimp connectors for certain Ford electric power assisted steering racks (not pumps) used in various 2011 and up Ford cars and trucks. These are the factory connectors sourced from the factory suppliers not cheap knockoffs like other ads. All our products are assembled by hand in the United States. Beware of the cut rate kits that are now on eBay! These kits use a smaller main power terminal that will not work with the 6 AWG wire needed for this pump. If the kit you are looking at comes with brown or green generic silicone seals, it does not use OEM quality parts and are not worth the risk.

You will get the main power connector with two seals and terminals and the data connector and three terminals as shown in the pictures. And just in case you have a bad crimp, I include one extra terminal for each connector!

The main power terminals are designed for 4 mm2 to 16 mm2 wire roughly equivalent to 11 AWG to 5 AWG. The seals are the teal versions and are designed for wire with an outer diameter of 7.3 mm (0.29") - 8.3 mm ( 0.33"). Depending on the length of wire you need, 6 AWG wire with decent quality cross-linked polyethylene insulation (SGX, etc.) should fit fine depending on your supplier. PVC insulation will probably also work but is less desirable for under hood installations. Some EPDM (SGR, etc.) may also work. You should be able to also fit 4 AWG with STX (cross-linked polyethylene) insulation as long as the outer diameter is under 8.3 mm. I have a limited supply of the pink seals that will fit wire with an outer diameter of 6.2 mm ( 0.25") - 7.3 mm (0.29"). Message me if you prefer the smaller seals.

The data connector terminals are designed for 0.75 mm2 to 1.0 mm2 wire or 18 AWG to 20 AWG wire. The seal is a mat style seal built into the housing. Note that I disassembled the connector housing for the picture to show the seal; the housing is designed so that you do not have to disassemble it to insert the terminal and wire. The wire and terminal simply are pushed through the back of the housing and seal.

Please check out the picture of the steering rack and connectors to make sure these will fit.

The EPAS rack is a popular swap part for the earlier S197 Mustangs because it eliminates the need for a power steering pump when swapping in a later Coyote motor. With these connectors you can build your own wiring loom to fit your car with no splices.

If you are looking for a high quality, reasonably priced crimp tool for the large terminals, I can recommend the Iwiss 5100A. It can be found online for around $50-$60 shipped and makes excellent crimps. The large power terminals take a little force to crimp, and the seal crimp can be tricky.
