The M531 immobilizer sits under the driver’s seat — a location extremely prone to water damage from leaks, clogged drains or leaving the top open during rain.
Once the unit gets wet, corrosion begins immediately and cannot be safely reversed, eventually causing complete failure.
WE CAN HELP! Our exchange service provides a fully rebuilt “never wet” immobilizer. We also attempt to recover your remote programming whenever possible.
We include a bottle of DeoxIT D-Series to clean corrosion from the harness connector.
