Have 32mm diameter repair washers for sale. Zinc plated steel. Price is for 3 washers. Only meant for a sample, larger quantities available. See my "other items" for sale (click on link in seller information above).

Ideal for supporting a sagging plasterboard ceiling where the glue has failed. Can also be used on new ceilings or where overlaying new ceiling and leaving existing in place.

Photo shows from left to right a standard 25mm washer, 32mm washer still domed, 32mm screwed fully down. Much stronger than original glue fixing, and wont break down over time.

The screws were fixed with an 18V Milwaukee impact driver on highest setting. No damage to plasterboard paper. A smaller or less powerful driver or drill would also do the same job.

Third photo shows straight edge over washer.  Washer sits flush with plaster board.

Other photos show new plasterboard fixed through existing fibrous plaster ceiling (due to paint cracking and flaking on fibrous plaster)

Recommend that use coarse threaded bugle head screws to fix, especially into pine timber. 40 or 50mm long screws. The wood/ thin metal screws have a finer thread and may not pull washer into plasterboard enough. Use 8 gauge screws, especially if cant find the coarse threaded ones.

First 2 coats of plaster should be basecoat that is mixed with water, not premix.
