DESCRIPTION:  Here is a pair of Minton porcelain stands in the form of a lotus leaf with white lotus buds, white lotus flowers and gilt stalks below the leaf. Hand painted to the top of the lotus leaf with butterflies, dragonflies, a lady bird, a moth, grasses and a pink flower. The bases have various insects painted around the base including a black beetle, a blue butterfly, a lady bird and other insects. Both marked to the base with lightly impressed MINTON to the underside. mark dates them from 1862 to 1871.

SIZE:  The stands measure 5 1/2 inches at widest point and 2 1/8 inches high.  Weight before packing 1.032 kg.

CONDITION:  Both have a little glaze ware to the top of the lotus leaves which you can just make out in pictures 2 and 3 to the lower half. There is a little gilt ware to the gilt line around both lotus leaves as in pictures 2 and 3. Minimal ware to the gilt stalks around the base. Otherwise they are both in good condition. No chips, cracks or restoration.
