DESCRIPTION: Here is an early 19th century or possibly earlier Veuve Perrin faience cup and saucer of fluted form. Hand painted to the cup with a tavern scene with a man dancing in a rural setting and flowers each side of the handle. The handle is painted with a yellow and puce pattern. The saucer has two painted rural scenes with flowers either side. The fluted rims have been painted with a dark brown line. marked to the base of the cup with an impressed 86 with a black painted VP over the top. the saucer also has a black painted VP with some black illegible markings.

SIZE:  They cup measures 2 5/8 inches high and 2 3/8 inched in diameter at widest point. The saucer measures 5 1/4 inches in diameter at widest point. Weighs 210 g before packing.

CONDITION:   The cup and saucer is in very good condition.
