Background Information:
The impeller and the vanes create the vacuum within the PSE pump.
The impeller is manufactured in graphite due to its self lubrication ability.
If your original impeller has shattered then this will be due to the impeller loosing its self lubrication ability which would have wore out over time and can also be due to water ingress. The motor would have tried to turn the impeller in the PSE pump. However, as the impeller would have struggled to turn it would have caused the impeller to shatter.
A shattered impeller can cause graphite dust to be sent through to the outlets of your PSE pump and can cause a blockage and can cause the solenoids to seize in certain instances. If a blockage has occurred then the blockage will need to be cleared. I can guide you as to how to check and resolve this issue if this has occurred with your PSE pump. Also, in addition when replacing the impeller you will need to optimise the pressure of your PSE pump which I can guide you through this process.
