MA, 1903. A magnificent full color
antique folded map of Pennsylvania manufactured by the Scarborough Company in
1903. VG+ condition. Map has no splits with several ¼” – ½” tears along the
edges on the folds. Clean and bright. There is a mild water stain on the South
East corner shown in photos 5 and 6. Photo 5 showns the stain in the map margin and photo 6 showns the stain on the inside of the back board. Boards have light corner and edge bumps. No
soil. Accordion folded. Linen mounted. Showing all counties, townships, cities,
boroughs, villages, post offices, railway stations, and suburban electric lines
are shown. Some roads. A distance table and inset map of the city of
Philadelphia are in the top corners. 35” x 50” opened flat. 10 1/2” x 4 3/4” closed.
A great piece built to last for a much longer time. Scarce.
