This is a recent find and just listed!  The research on this collage led me to  Gary Aagaard.  His work, For Reluctant Suitors, was released in the Los Angeles Times issue of July 23, 1993.  The original can be seen on his website:   among several of his incredibly beautiful works!

The collage artists, Betty Cupelli and Muriel Robinson pasted and touched up Gary's work on a surrealist seascape.  This looks even more exciting than the photos!  The viewable canvas is 16" x 20" and framed is 22" x 25 1/2".
