I usually pack on the weekends when I am usually in-town.

(If FedEx or USPS thinks you live really outside their main routes, I will pass on the extra they charge me to deliver it out there)

Many larger electronic items ship in a strong dedicated box that costs $5.70 – this is in the shipping price.

 If there is no visible serial # on the item, permanent inconspicuous marks may/will been put on it. This prevents anyone from 'returning' their defective item and saying that this one was "BAD" !
