If you are looking for safe, "wireless" way, to trigger older model flashes, which may have high PC sync contact voltages*, without any risk of damage to your modern digital camera, then read on!

I've tried this sensitive, reliable and robust optical slave flash trigger with my 45 series Metz flashes (45 CT-1, 4 and 5) and I'm well impressed.

*This optical sensor accepts trigger voltages up to a MAXIMUM of 100 VOLTS DC.

Please note that this sensor will NOT fire Canon EX models.

The sensor has a female pc (Prontor Compur) socket to enable connection to your flash via a suitable male pc lead. It can also be mounted on a Male pc to hot shoe adapter

Please note that this optical trigger will fire your slave flash prematurely if your master flash produces a pre-flash before the main flash. In many cases this can be avoided by setting the master flash to "manual".
