When I was on the club trip to Vero Beach I discovered Fishtamer Hooks in one of the bait/tackle shops down there. I bought some and used them and really was impressed by their sharpness and ability to catch and hold fish. Because I lose hooks and tie a lot of different rigs I got tired of paying the price for the small packs of hooks also.
Mary Beth and I certainly recommend his hooks and his prices are good. You should check out his website and call him if you have any questions. Make sure you tell him you are a member of Florida Surf Casters and you heard it from me. Maybe he will pay for my emergency room fee when one of his ultra sharp hooks gets embedded in my hand. They really are the sharpest hooks I have ever dealt with. If anybody is interested I will bring some to a Monday meeting so you can draw some blood.

I received a pack of #1 sized circle hooks from LureTamer Products.
I have used them on several trips & must say I love them! I have tried them tightlining as well as fishing under a cork & they performed flawlessly every time. Perfect hook-ups right in the hard part of the jaw on all the catfish & bream I have caught with these hooks, just like they are intended to do! I have probably caught 50 fish with these hooks & haven't had the first fish swallow a hook like bream sometimes do with regular hooks.
A BIG problem I have with many hooks is rust. Change hook sizes & put a wet hook back into the box of other hooks & after a week or so, they are all rusty. I have not encountered the same problem with these hooks...they are great ALL THE WAY AROUND!
I will definitely be buying more of these hooks! I normally use Gamakatsu Circle hooks for catfishing but they do not offer a smaller hook such as these & they are also MUCH more expensive than these FishTamer hooks!
