Big Drill Car from Costa Mesa, California, were one of the bands responsible for bridging the gap between aggressive 80s hardcore punk and melodic, hook-heavy 90s pop-punk. Alongside their close friends in ALL and Descendents, they pioneered a sound defined by highly technical, interlocking guitar work, driving rhythm sections, and incredibly smooth, soaring pop melodies.
