Beautiful late 19th century jardinière made in Wheeling
West Virginia, by the Warwick China Company. Piece has high quality hand-painted & gilt detailing. Lovely pink roses, buds, and leaf design with raised enamel gold outlining.
Measures about 7" tall and about 8" wide across the top. The base is marked "Warwick Semi Porcelain". According to Edwin Atlee Barber's book "Marks of American Pottery", this particular Warwick mark was used from 1893-1898. This is a true antique item and shows typical wear/age
issues you would see on most semi-porcelain pieces of this age ~ There is crazing,
some areas of discoloration. and some stress cracks- -- Still a wonderful display piece. PLEASE VIEW ALL OF THE PHOTOS AS THEY ARE A MATERIAL PART
OF THE DESCRIPTION.
