Up for sale is a 1974 Toyota Land Cruiser FJ40. Please read entire description before bidding. Vehicle is sold as is where is with no warranties expressed or implied. I prefer someone to come locally and check it out prior to bidding. The truck runs rather well. It had been setting for about 3 years prior to my purchase so getting it started was priority number one. I removed the poly fuel tank and cleaned it out along with all of the gas lines and return lines. I hooked them back up and she fires up and runs good. The fuel injection kit is a big bonus in my opinion. It is adapted to the stock motor. It does have some aftermarket headers as well. The computer for it is located in the glove box. Once the truck was running, I flushed the cooling system and put a new thermostat in it. The next issue I started on was the steering. It has an AGM power steering hydro assist kit on it with heavy duty tie rods. One of the pressure lines had a leak so I removed it and broke the fitting on the ramrock cylinder. This is where I stopped and said its time to focus on my current project (really my wife said I can't have 2 toys). So here it sets in my garage with no steering. You can hear it run and you don't get my battery. Its for my other project. :) This is all I know about the vehicle from personal experience. Now here is the reasons I bought it and things that the previous owner did:
Agm Power steering w/ hydro assist kit
heavy duty tie rods
Front and rear disc brakes
5.29 gears
Front and rear lockers
Sprung over suspension with newer springs
Metal tech full family style roll cage
Metal tech stinger style front bumper w/ Warn 9.5 winch
Orion transfer case
Newer 4 speed transmission
39.5x15 TSL Boggers on real beadlock wheels
BTF rear bumper
anti axle wrap bar
Live wires w/ DUI electronic distributor
and more that I am sure I am forgetting.
The body is rough with most rust on the rear inside of the bed section. There is no top or doors or whatever. What you see is what you get. I am located 1.5hrs north of Nashville or 1.5 hrs south of Louisville KY. Glasgow KY 42141. Please come by and look at it prior to bidding. It really is a beast of a machine. The parts alone would cost a fortune to purchase much less build. Bid with the intention to buy. I am starting the auction at $1.00/ no reserve. I feel it will bring what its worth. I love the truck, just not enough to sleep in it (have to keep the wife happy). Call my cell with any questions at 406-788-5998. If you would like to make an offer on the truck prior to auction ending, give me a call. I will consider it. Thanks for looking. Chad
