Excellent and rare lotus flower sculpture.  The size is 18 1/2 inches in height.  The condition is excellent with traces of oxidation consistent with its age.  The age is guaranteed to be late Qing or late Meiji era or earlier. 
I have not been able to determine if this sculpture is Chinese or Japanese, however, my best guess would be Japanese.
The provenance is from the estate of a well known Asian art collector named Chris Peckham who was known as the "Grand Dame" of Monmouth county New Jersey, USA.
