Designed around the instrument. Built for the way it's played.
Bring your Roland SH-4d into a more comfortable working position with a purpose-designed desktop stand from Studio Solutions.
Unlike a conventional desktop support, this stand has been developed specifically around the SH-4d's chassis profile, incorporating shaped retaining clips that engage with the instrument itself.
This allows the SH-4d to remain attached to its stand when lifted and tilted, making the design particularly useful for the instrument's distinctive D-Motion performance functionality.
Available in five individually developed working angles, our stands combine improved control visibility, secure equipment positioning and practical integration into desktop studio environments.
Designed by musicians. Made in Britain.
The Roland SH-4d combines four synthesiser parts, a dedicated rhythm section, extensive hands-on sound controls and an integrated sequencer.
Its layout encourages direct interaction with the instrument, whether programming patterns, shaping sounds, adjusting modulation or performing live.
Our stand has been developed around the physical characteristics of the SH-4d rather than simply providing a generic angled platform.
Chassis-profiled supports
The retaining geometry follows the SH-4d's chassis profile, providing a positive mechanical engagement between the instrument and stand.
Integrated clip-on retention
Shaped retaining points engage with the instrument, helping keep the stand attached when the SH-4d is picked up or repositioned.
Five individually tailored designs
Each angle uses chassis-specific support geometry developed for its working position.
Open structural arrangement
The stand maintains access to the instrument's rear connections for integration with external synthesisers, controllers and recording equipment.
One of the SH-4d's distinctive performance features is Roland's D-Motion system.
D-Motion allows sound parameters to respond to physical movement of the instrument, using forward/backward and left/right tilting to introduce expressive control during performance.
Our fitted retaining design makes this functionality more practical when the instrument is used with a desktop stand.
The stand remains attached to the SH-4d when the instrument is lifted and tilted, allowing the two to be handled together rather than requiring the synthesiser to be removed from its support.
This provides a more integrated arrangement for musicians exploring motion-controlled modulation, effects and expressive sound manipulation.
The retaining clips are designed for normal instrument handling and D-Motion operation. The instrument should always be held securely when lifted, with sufficient clearance for connected cables.
Choose the position that best suits your equipment layout and playing style.
15° – Low Profile
A gentle incline for comfortable hands-on performance, keeping the SH-4d's keyboard buttons, sequencer and sound controls within easy reach.
Ideal for desktop arrangements where the instrument is used frequently for live programming and direct manipulation.
22° – Everyday Working Angle
Our most popular general-purpose angle, balancing comfortable operation with improved visibility of the SH-4d's display and control surface.
An excellent choice for regular studio use, sound design and sequencing.
30° – Raised Performance Position
A more pronounced incline that brings the control panel into clearer view while maintaining comfortable access to the instrument's buttons, sliders and rotary controls.
Particularly useful when integrating the SH-4d into a larger desktop setup.
45° – Compact Upright Arrangement
Raises the instrument into a more upright working position, improving visibility and helping organise equipment within a busy studio environment.
Well suited to sound design, sequencing and arrangements involving multiple instruments.
60° – Upright Studio Position
A steep working angle that presents the SH-4d's display and controls prominently while reducing its horizontal desktop footprint.
Particularly useful when the instrument is being sequenced externally, controlled over MIDI or positioned within a multi-instrument arrangement.
All five versions incorporate chassis-profiled retaining supports developed specifically for the Roland SH-4d.
Each is a dedicated fixed-angle design without adjustable joints.
Chassis-specific mechanical retention
Profiled retaining clips engage with the SH-4d's chassis, allowing the stand and instrument to be handled together.
D-Motion compatible design
The retaining arrangement allows the instrument to be lifted and tilted for motion-controlled performance while the stand remains attached.
Stable, cross-braced construction
Two structural side supports are connected by 270 mm transverse braces, providing a rigid supporting structure beneath the synthesiser.
Anti-skid rubber feet
Help maintain the stand's position on the desktop while protecting desks and studio furniture.
Improved control visibility
Angling the SH-4d brings its display, synthesis controls, sliders and sequencing interface into a more accessible working position.
Efficient use of desk space
The open frame supports the instrument without requiring a full-width platform beneath its chassis.
Straightforward assembly
The modular construction allows the stand to be packed compactly and assembled for use in studio or performance environments.
The stand is developed specifically for the Roland SH-4d desktop synthesiser.
Instrument dimensions:
Width: 360 mm
Depth: 195 mm
Height: 66 mm
Weight: Approximately 1.78 kg without batteries
The stand's support geometry is designed around the SH-4d's chassis, with a 270 mm cross-braced arrangement beneath the instrument.
This provides a compact supporting structure while accommodating the synthesiser's wider body.
