A deeply carved vintage Bakelite bar pin featuring a feather‑twist motif at each end and a smooth central band. The carving is deep, symmetrical, and characteristic of 1930s–deeply 1940s Bakelite craftsmanship. The piece measures just under 3" long and retains its original metal pin stem and C‑clasp.

The Bakelite presents as a rich black to very dark brown tone, a classic color used in early carved pieces. In normal lighting it looks black to me; only in very bright light do I see the dark chocolate brown tone. It has been lightly cleaned to remove the grime from 80-90 years of storage, but it will need a bit more to remove what looks like a layer of old hairspray residue. I wasn't sure what to use. The material has been Simichrome‑tested to confirm authenticity. The surface shows a natural sheen with no cracks, chips, or repairs. Light surface scratches are to be expected with the age, but nothing deep. Pin has a minimal bend from use.

A refined example of carved Bakelite jewelry suitable for collectors or for wear as a timeless vintage accent at the neck, on a coat lapel, or as a hat decoration. Displays nicely and fastens easily.
