Case: Originally Seiko Gold Plated (SGP), the case shows significant and heavy plating loss, particularly around the bezel and lugs, revealing the base metal beneath.
The case remains completely unpolished, meaning its original factory lines and stepped bezel geometry are fully intact.
Dial & Crystal: The gold dial remains highly legible and in good overall condition, with some mild aging visible around the outer edges under the glass. The original square crystal exhibits notable surface scratches and scuffs consistent with decades of regular use.
Caseback: The stainless steel caseback is in good shape. All original factory engravings—including "SGP ST. STEEL BACK", the reference number (6349-5000), and the serial number (231316)—are crisp and clearly readable.
Movement: The 23-jewel automatic movement is functioning, with the day and date mechanisms operating correctly.
