Signed Birgit Kupke-Peyla Sterling Silver Modernist Dangle Earrings
Beautiful pair of studio artisan earrings by California goldsmith Birgit Kupke-Peyla (German-born, working in the Salinas/Monterey area). Her signature style combines oxidized/patinated sterling silver with contrasting gold geometric elements and strong, quiet modernist forms.
These feature teardrop-shaped frames with a heavily textured dark silver field and a gold triangle inlay. A textured red bead (coral or coral-like) dangles below each, finished with a small silver ball. Fishhook ear wires. Clearly stamped “Birgit” on the reverse.
Weight: 8.17 grams (pair)
Condition: Very good. No damage, chips, or repairs. Natural patina consistent with her intentional oxidized finish.
Birgit Kupke-Peyla has been making jewelry for over 30 years. She sells primarily at art fairs and through her own studio. Her work is known for mixed-metal (sterling + 22k gold) geometric designs with deliberate patina.
