BR Class 104 DMU built by Birmingham Railway Carriage &
Wagon Co. for the London Midland and North Eastern Regions.
This new HELJAN OO gauge Class 104 has a low profile
mechanism powering one car per set, switchable interior and exterior lighting
features, a 21-pin DCC decoder interface and provision for DCC sound. Features include a highly-detailed interior and
underframe, separate handrails and sprung buffers.
The '104s' are among the most complex models Heljan has ever developed, with a huge range of detail to cab ends, roofs, interiors, body details and more. The models also have a superb range of DCC, lighting and other features, including:
M50436+M59141+M50488
I originally bought this model because I did see one at Reading in blue in 1975, but it really doesn't fit in on my southern and western region focussed layout. It has been briefly track tested prior to sale, hence new (other) listing. The packaging is very good and stylish. There are three bits bags, unopened.
The photos form part of the description and demonstrate the clever wiring connections and magnetic couplings between the coaches. The model has a speaker fitted but is not fitted with a sound decoder. This model comes as an analogue DC model.
The user manual was missing when I received this, and there were no spares at Heljan, so Heljan kindly sent a PDF and the manual has been printed from the PDF, which you can also have if you wish.
There are very few of these available in new condition, so please don't hesitate if you want this model.
Any questions please ask.
