Please see the pictures for the outside of the book. The inside is clean and tight. There is a gift inscription on the front end page which could be from the author.

The author gives a great account of the Retreat from Mons when he was wounded and captured. The author was then relaesed in a prisoner exchange! He went on to serve in Egypt, Gallipoli and Mesopotamia.
