Four RARE original Kodachrome slides of Carroll Park and Western Climax #3 now Roaring Camp & Big Trees #5 as delivered on the Southern Pacific interchange track at Felton, California on a Penn Central flat car after it's cross-country journey from Bloomsburg, Pennsylvania. The CP&W was a privately-owned narrow-gauge tourist operation that sold the locomotive to the RC&BT several years earlier. Three of the slides appear to have been taken on one day with the real nice "roster" on another day. All are date stamped September 1977, the month when it arrived. In the photo with what appears to be RC&BT officials/employees you can see the narrow gauge "interchange" track where the locomotive could be rolled onto off the flat car once the wheels were set for the proper gauge. It could just possibly be that that photo was the actual day it arrived. This locomotive was re-numbered as #5 to avoid equipment conflicts and is currently undergoing a long-term restoration project. You are welcome to do as you wish if winning this slide as long as credit is given to the photographer if the photographer is listed on the slide. Please review all photos before bidding. Slides are being sold "as is".****PLEASE NOTE**** What you see on your screen is NOT what these slides look like. Any "EBAY" scans are low resolution. Any "RESTORED" scans are cleaned up some to give an idea of what could be done with your digital darkroom. Slide mount photos were taken with back lighting and through "Print Screen File" plastic slide pages. The actual photos are brighter and sharper and with some digital darkroom magic, they can be magical! Anything less, I will try to describe at best with the slide description/s. The photographer may be "unknown". The locations are NOT always listed. If info is had, it will be in the slide description. Multiple purchase of separate auctions by the same bidder will receive shipping discounts. Item is being sold as is.Please review all photos before bidding/purchasing.Thanks for looking!
